The permeable brick pavement process is very different from ordinary pavement bricks. In the pavement, special attention should be paid to adhere to its special permeable properties. Matters needing attention for permeable bricks: In order to obtain better water permeability, the buffer layer is directly selected from medium sand, which has good compression ability; the lower layer is selected from open water-permeable subgrade and uses a narrow grade (the aggregate particle size is roughly in
7mm ～ 40mm), high ash ratio and low water-cement ratio concrete. Its main effects are:
① The compaction method can be used in the pavement to obtain a concrete roadbed of a certain strength (28 d up to 20 MPa) and reduce the phenomenon that the road surface sinks after the stagnant water is stored in the underground aquifer (the compaction process pays attention to: Demand leveling compaction compaction, compaction coefficient must not be less than 95%);
② This special concrete has a large connected porosity, which can guide the rapid downward flow of permeated water passing through the permeable bricks, reduce the occurrence of pavement runoff due to long-term rain or heavy rainfall, and can meet the larger Water storage function;
③ In a dry air environment, the water stored in this layer can be transmitted to the air through the pavement through transpiration, which can increase the humidity of the air, reduce the ground temperature, and adjust the surrounding environment.
Whether it can reach the best water permeability depends on the rationality of the paving process.
