Cement products are made of limestone, the first step to save energy: reduce the amount of limestone
Generally, the proportion of limestone in the portland cement material accounts for 80% to 85%, and it accounts for about 70% in the cement. Therefore, the amount of limestone required for cement production is large, and the CO2 emitted during the process is also the largest. Because the substitution rate of using waste as a calcareous material in our country is very small, but the amount of mixed materials in cement grinding is large, so it should be used as much as possible. That is, slag, steel slag, fly ash and other waste slags are used to replace a considerable part of the clinker, thereby reducing the amount of limestone and reducing CO2 emissions.
Energy saving second step: use advanced calcination process
Cement clinker calcination is the central process of the cement industry. Calcining clinker from raw meal requires a lot of heat and consumes a lot of fuel (coal or petroleum). Cement grinding requires a lot of electrical energy. If the cement clinker calcination power is not good, and the greater the heat consumption of the clinker calcination, the more CO2 will be emitted. Therefore, using an advanced calcination process and improving the thermal power of clinker firing is an important way to reduce carbon emissions during cement production.
Energy saving step three: rational use of waste heat
With the development of cement clinker calcination technology, the energy-saving technology level of the cement industry in developed countries has developed rapidly. Low-temperature waste heat has been recovered and used during the production of cement. The utilization rate of thermal energy for cement clinker has improved greatly. However, due to the limitation of energy-saving technology, equipment level, and weak energy-saving awareness in China, there are still a lot of low- and medium-temperature exhaust gas waste heat resources in kiln industrial enterprises that have not been fully used, and the phenomenon of power waste is still very prominent. Selecting a reasonable method to reuse the waste heat can effectively improve the output.
